Arban Omer WINTER, 80, Truxton, died Tuesday (July 30, 2002) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

Mr. WINTER was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Zion Methodist Church in Truxton and the VFW Post in Hawk Point. He also was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Pitman Funeral Homes, 904 South Highway 47, Warrenton. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Methodist Church in Truxton. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Among survivors are his wife, Olene WINTER of Truxton; a daughter, Judy Fay WHITE of Truxton; four brothers, Oliver Martin WINTER of North Wales, Pa., William Henry WINTER of Ottawa, Kan., John Derwood WINTER of St. Charles and Glen Eugene WINTER of Truxton; and four grandchildren.
