WELCH.----April 12, 1884 of inflammation of the bowels, after an illness of some ten days, R. H. WELCH, aged 49 years. He was born in Prince William county, Va. He has resided in Troy and vicinity since 1836. He was a member of the Methodist church some 14 years. Deceased leaves a widow, two daughters and three sons. He was a most excellent citizen, whose death will be mourned by many friends. An eloquent funeral sermon was preached by Rev. A. A. PFANSTICHL at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large audience, after which the remains were interred in the Troy cemetery.
