Obituary for Mrs. Frances E. Welch (1866-1938)
Uncited clippings from the Reynolds/Welch family collection.

Mrs. Frances E. WELCH

Frances E. CARVER was born in Fauquier county, Va. In January, 1837. In 1859 she moved to Missouri and in 1866 to Troy, where she lived the remainder of her life.
On December 14, 1860 she married Richard H. WELCH. To this union six children were born, one dying in infancy. Five survive their mother and are grieved at their loss. They are: Eugene H., J. W. and Harry L., three sons, and Georgia, now Mrs. REYNOLDS, Ida M., two daughters. There are also five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Richard H. WELCH, her husband, had been a very efficient member of the Troy Methodist church during his life, and Sister WELCH requested that she be baptized and received into that church before her death.
Sister WELCH was 85 years old and belongs to an old family of Lincoln county. Her children are our friends and neighbors. We extend our sympathies to them, and pray God’s blessing upon them in their grief.

Respectfully, F. P. HANES
