Obituary

The following, taken from the Crawford Mirror, Steelville, Mo., gives an account of the death of Mrs. Rowena P. WEBB, sister to Mrs. S. L. COX of this city, and is published by request:

"Mrs. Rowena P. WEBB, wife of John P. WEBB, died at her home in Steelville, Mo., at 9 o'clock, a.m., June 1, 1907, after an illness of many months.

"She lived the life of a Christian and was ever striving to do good in her humble and quiet way * * * and left every evidence that she was going to meet her Redeemer in glory.

"Deceased was the daugher of Samuel and Sarah COX and was born near Leesburg, London (Loudoun) County, Va., December 6th, 1835; was married to John P. WEBB Dec. 1st, 1868, at New Hope, Lincoln County, Mo., and moved to this place twenty years ago.

"Three sons and one daughter were born to this union. All are grown and worthy citizens, viz: Holly H. WEBB, who resides in California; Mrs. Lena WELCH, of Harrison, Ark.; Paul and Cochran WEBB, of this city. She was 71 years, 5 months and 25 days of age at her death. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at 3 o'clock at the family residence by Rev. Franklin Riley Poage after which interment took place at the Steelville cemetery.
