OSCAR L.WALTON

Oscar Laurel WALTON Sr. of the Old Alexandria Community, passed away at his home Saturday morning, June 20, 1970 following a lengthy illness. He was 60 years of age.

Funeral services for Mr. WALTON were conducted by the Rev. Lester Zacher at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, June 23rd, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home. Interment was in the Old Alexandria Cemetery.

Mr. WALTON was born Feb. 14, 1910 at Silex, Mo.; the son of William and Docie Elizabeth CREECH WALTON. He was married to the former Miss Dolores HAGERBAUMER of Quincy, Ill. He lived in Quincy a few years before returning to Missouri.

He is survived by his wife of their residence; three sons, Donald Eugene and Jerry Richard of Troy, and Oscar L. Jr. of Silex; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Virginia ) HOELSCHER and Miss Marva Dean WALTON, both of Troy; eleven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Albert of Silex; Clarence and Omer of Quincy, Ill. Luther of Williamsport, Ohio and Chris SCHULTZ of Hawk Point, Mrs. Alonzo (Janie) HAMMETT, and Mrs. Katie LUCKETT of Hawk Point and Mrs. Albert (Hazel) STEWART of Elsberry, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. WALTON was employed with the Central Fibre Co. while living in Quincy. At the time he became ill, he owned a welding shop near his home. He was member of the Lincoln County wildlife [sic].
