Obituary—Mrs. VAUGHN

Hettie Malinda ADAMS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William ADAMS, was born near Troy, October 15, 1871 and died February 5, 1941 at the Audrain County Hospital in Mexico.

She was united in marriage to James VAUGHN, August 14, 1890, who preceded her in death January 1, 1926. Three children were born to this union, namely: Mrs. Phillip HOPKINS of Bellflower; Mrs. Claude REEVES of Vandalia and William R., who departed this life Jan. 18, 1922.

She united with the Methodist Church at Old Alexandria early in life and lived constantly in the faith of her Lord.

She also leaves to mourn her passing four grandchildren, Marie, Jimmie and Bertie HOPKINS of Bellflower, and Mrs. Louie LOVELL, Jr., of Montgomery City; one aunt, Mrs. Martha CREECH of Troy; two brothers, John ADAMS of Bellflower, Henry ADAMS of Montgomery City; one half-brother and two half-sisters, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by A. J. KONDY of Vandalia, Mo., Thursday, Feb. 6, at Old Alexandria, with burial in the Sulphur Lick Cemetery.
