Gerald Lee (Jerry) TWELLMAN, youngest child of Dora Lee and Gerhardt Edward (Ed G.) TWELLMAN was born on a farm near Moscow Mills, Mo. on April 13, 1931. He departed this life Thursday, November 21, 1985 at Los Alamitos Hospital from a blood clot to his lung at the age of 54 years.

On August 11, 1949 he was married to Patricia Jean MURPHY at St. Alphonsus Church, Millwood, Mo. To this union were born 12 children who survive: James Michael and his wife, Debra of O’Fallon, Jean Marie and her husband, Bruce CAMPBELL of Costa Mesa, Ca., Gerald Wayne ("Joe") and his wife, Charlene of Troy, Thomas Patrick and his wife, Linda of Corona, Ca., Mary Katherine and her husband, Ronald KNOCHEL of Sunnymead, Ca., Daniel Lee and his wife, Dorice of Cypress, Ca., Robert Anthony and his wife, Rhonda of Phoenix, Az., Timothy Mark, Richard Leroy, David Lynn, Elizabeth Ann and Theresa Ann, all of Cypress, Ca. In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by 18 grandchildren, his sisters, Esther FOLTZ and her husband, Clifford of Sanford, Fl., Alice HAYS and her husband, Leon of Troy, Nan BLEES and her husband, William of Melbourne, Fl., and his only brother, Joe E. (Byrd) TWELLMAN and his wife, Delores of Troy, his wife’s brother, Mike MURPHY of Silex, his wife’s sister, Connie Marie BURNETT, of Ontario, Ca., a very dear friend, Bob INGRAM of Los Angeles, Ca. and a host of other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry and Pat lived in Hawk Point before moving to California in September 1951. Jerry hired on at Southern California Gas Co. in October 1951. He worked for and enjoyed the gas company for 34 years. He was District Service Supervisor at Anaheim, Ca. at the time of death. He planned to retire next year.

His body lay in state at the Spencer-Buena Park Mortuary, Cypress, Ca. A rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening, Nov. 25 at the St. Irenaeus Church in Cypress, Ca. and a funeral Mass was conducted from St. Irenaeus Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1985 at 10 a.m. by Father Joe Nettekoven and his assistants. Three limousines and a cortege of over 100 cars followed his body to Good Sheperd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, Ca. where he was lovingly laid to rest.

Attending the funeral from this area were, Mr. and Mrs. Jim TWELLMAN, Mr. and Mrs. "Joe" TWELLMAN, Mrs. Alice HAYES, Mrs. Joe E. (Byrd) TWELLMAN, Karen WALKENHORST, Mike MURPHY and Herman and Mark TWELLMAN. Also attending were, Mrs. Esther FOLTZ, Sanford, Fl., Mr. and Mrs. Fred TWELLMAN, Mission Viejo, Ca., Mary Ruth SHULSE, Lancaster, Ca., Francis STANFORD and Claire DUTTON of Los Angeles, Ca.
