OBITUARY

William Allen TURNER, born June 22, 1896, son of James and Ella TURNER of near Troy, Mo., passed away at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital on October 28, 1973. He was married to Mary Florence STARKEY June 3, 1916. To this union 12 children were born. Two preceeded him in death, Vivian and James Arnold.

He is survied by his wife, Mary; and children, (Clara) Mrs. Alfred SMITH and husband, (Lillian) Mrs. Melvin CREECH and husband, (Melba) Mrs. Albert TRAVIS and husband, (Alice) Mrs. Walter WAGNER and husband, (Evelyn) Mrs. Robert MEIER and husband, (Dorothy) Mrs. Robert HOELSCHER and husband, 4 sons, Forest, and wife, Bonnie, Charles and wife, Mildred, Wayne and wife, Peggy and Richard and wife, Linda; 29 grandchildren and other relatives.

He was a member of Old Alexandria Church since childhood. He spent the early part of his life as a farmer and was a U. S. Mail Carrier from Louisiana to Troy for seventeen years. He was also preceeded in death by two sisters, Mae, Mrs. Ora BRICKER and Maude, Mrs. Oscar RANEY; one brother, Harry of Moberly; also nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at MCCoy-Paul Funeral Home Wednsday October 31, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lester Zacher in charge. Interment Old Alexandria Cemetery.
