DEATH OF RACHEL MARIE TURNBULL

Dec. 17, 1957 the St.Louis Globe Democrat carried a notice of the sudden death of Mrs. Rachel (Marie) TURNBULL WENNEKER. She passed away at her home in Ellisville, Mo. Dec. 16, 1957. Rachel, as she was known to her many relatives and friends in this community, was born Dec. 22, 1901 near Foley, the daughter of James and Mandy JEANS TURNBULL. She was married to Edgar WENNEKER Jan. 30, 1924 in St. Louis, where their 33 years of married life was spent. To this union one son, Norman was born, who with the grief-stricken husband, one daughter -in-law, 2 grandsons, one brother, Austin TURNBULL and wife of Long Beach, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Florence KESSLER, of St. Louis, Mrs. Lotis BALLOW of Florida, Mrs. Ines WELLS, Mrs. Susie DICKEY of Alhambra, Calif. one uncle Albert TURNBULL of Foley, five aunts, Mrs. Lizzie LUCK of Alton, IL., Mrs. Minnie MILLER of Hannibal, Mrs. Margaret TURNBULL of Dittmer, Mo., Mrs. Hattie TURNBULL of Foley, her step-mother, Mrs. Lydia TURNBULL of LaDell Nursing home in Elsberry, a host of nieces and nephews and cousins, who with the husband and son mourn her departure. Marie was always of a sunny disposition and had many friends where ever she went and will be sadly missed by all. Contributed by Aunt Hattie ..
