Mary Lee TURNBULL, second child of of Charles and Kathryne LaRUE, was born in Sugar Creek neighborhood March 14,1863. She departed this life Dec. 7, 1942, in the same community attaining the age of 79 years, 8 months and 22 days. She spent her entire life in the county of her birth.

She was married to Richard L. TURNBULL Aug. 18, 1895 by Rev. J . S. Eames. To this union four sons were born: Ira, Omer Hayden, Ez.......William Archie, Ira and Ez....... in infancy. Her husband......eeded her in death April........addition to their sons........Archie, they reared an ....... Estelle SEGRASS

....s to mourn her departure......eight grandchildren, with wh.....she has divided her time since the death of her husband. She also leaves an elder sister, Mrs. Belle JACKSON of the New Galilee community; Will LaRUE of Eolia; John and Joe LaRUE of Troy; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She united with the Sugar Creek Methodist Church early in life and for many years devotedly taught a Sunday School class in this church. She later united with the Baptist Church with her husband, and at the time of her passing held her membership at the Troy Baptist Church.

"Aunt Lee", as she was known by many, possessed a loving Christian disposition. She loved people and was always willing to make sacrifices so others might enjoy life more fully.

She will be missed by her friends and especially her immediate family who tenderly and affectionately cared for her in her declining years.

Funeral services conducted by Rev.H.W.Berneking and by the Rev. T.E.Clark at Sugar Creek Church. Burial in THORNHILL CEMETERY.
