Funeral Services For Mrs. TURNBULL

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Mae TURNBULL, 65, rural Winfield, were held Thursday at New Salem Baptist Church, west of Winfield. The Rev. Roy Cantrell of Seymour and Rev. Jack Brown, Church pastor, officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Mrs. Turnbull's grandsons, Dennis and Larry Shramek, David Thompson, Larry Lacy and Kevin Turnbull.

Mrs. TURNBULL died at 2:15 p.m. (inserted by hand d. May 27, 1970) Tuesday, at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, where she had been a patient for eight weeks.

She was born March 6, 1905, at Winfield, a daughter of Thomas S. and Susan DIXON YATES. On April 19, 1924, she was married to William Archie TURNBULL, who survives. Mrs. TURNBULL was active in the WMU of the New Salem Baptist church. She was a member of the before mentioned Church. Martha Mae TURNBULL was a genuine, fine Christian lady.

Other survivors include four sons, Arlie, Richard, Elba, and Shelby, all of Winfield; two daughters, Mrs. William (Wilhelmine) SHRAMEK, Silex, and Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) PHELPS , Elsberry, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) VANSICKLE, Lawndale, Il., Mrs. Macey RODGERS and Mrs. Clark (Doris) STEPHENS , both of St. Louis; Mr. L. T. (Cora) LAVY, Winfield, and other relatives.
