David Alan TURNBULL

David Alan TURNBULL, third child and youngest son of Harold and Snookie WOODSON TURNBULL , was born August 27,1966 in Troy, Mo. In a brief moment Wednesday evening, May 26, 1982, he departed this life at the age of 15 years 7 months and 29 days.

David was reared in a Christian home and attended The First Christian Church of Troy from birth. He attended the Claude Brown Elementary School in Troy through the eighth grade. His first year in high school, he attended the Missouri Military Academy at Mexico, Mo. He returned for his sophomore year, but mid -term, he transferred to Buchanan High School in Troy, where he finished his sophomore year.

David brought much happiness into the lives of his parents, Harold and Snookie, his brothers, Dale and Carter and his sister, Marcy, his grandmother, Mrs. Mary TURNBULL, all of Troy, Mo., his grandmother, Mrs. Barbara May LEMMON of Rochester, Pa., his aunts and uncles: Linda FAIELLA and Gary WOODSON of Aliquippa, Pa., Ronald WOODSON and his wife Linda of Freedom, Pa., Bob WOODSON of O'Fallon, Mo., Sandy and her husband Delmar FORBECK of Troy, a number of cousins, other relatives and innumerable friends.

David was a very affectionate young man, and he made friends easily. Evidence that the affection was returned has been shown by the number of people who paid their respects to David and his family and by the many many floral offerings in his honor.

Funeral services for David were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the First Christian Church, with the pastor, Rev. Ken Finley in charge. The musicians were Mrs. Fay Pavelka , Mrs. Nancy Gropper and Mrs. Mary Ann Kemper. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Brian Schulze, Curt Woodson, Steve Crouch, Darrell Harke, Bruce Starkey and Terry Brown.

Arrangements were through the Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home.
