Obituary for Archie Otis Tucker  (1894-1979)

            Archie Otis TUCKER was born in Lincoln County, Missouri September 12, 1894, the son of John Sanford and Melinda Ellen BRITT TUCKER.  He passed away at his home near Foristell, Mo. on Thursday, February 22, 1979, at the age of 84 years, five months and 10 days.

            On March 21, 1916 he was married to Ludie May LaRUE.  They were later divorced. 

            Mr. TUCKER had lived in St. Louis for 15 years and in 1940 he came to the Foristell area and purchased a farm where he lived until his death.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters and two brothers.

            Survivors are one son, Ray and his wife, Gray of Foristell; three daughters: Bernice O’CONNOR and husband, Andrew of St. Louis, Beatrice JAMES and husband Kenneth of Baldwin, Mo. and Ilene FERRARI and husband, Jack of New Orleans, La.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; cousins, and many friends.

            Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 24, 1979 from the McCoy-Paul Funeral Home in Troy, Mo., the Rev. Lester Zacher officiating.  Interment was in the New Galilee Cemetery.  Mrs. Pam Hall was in charge of the music, and the pall bearers were Wayne RICKS, Harold OSTMAN, Richard HELVEY, Fred GERDEMAN, John SCHOFIELD and Allan MOORE.
