Obituary for Milford Allan Teague (1895-1981)

Milford Allan TEAGUE was born at Auborn, Mo., February 21, 1895, the son of James and Mary Ellen KNOX TEAGUE. He passed away Tuesday morning, March 10, 1981, in the Medicalodge of Troy. He was 86 years and 19 days of age.

Mr. TEAGUE grew to manhood in the Auburn vicinity. On August 17, 1916, he was united in marriage to Miss Pauline REED. One daughter was born to this marriage. Mrs. TEAGUE and their daughter, Gwendolyn, both preceded Mr. TEAGUE in death. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude ATKINS and one brother, Joseph TEAGUE.

Surviving Mr. TEAGUE are the following grandchildren: Raymond M. LOVELL and his wife, Janice, Barbara Kay PEDRETTI, Penelope E. and her husband, Edward LAW, Roger O. LOVELL, Larry F. LOVELL and his wife, Rhonda and David A. (Tony) LOVELL; several great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Sarah DUNCAN, Mrs. Lillian CRANK, and Mrs. Mary DELOREZ; one sister-in-law, Kathryn EDWARDS; one aunt, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth TRAIL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

Mr. TEAGUE attended the Auburn Presbyterian Church while living in the Auburn area. He was a member of the Troy Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Most of Mr. TEAGUE’s working years were spent as a car salesman. He was with his brother-in –law, Chauncy EDWARDS in the Ford Agency in Troy and worked for many years for the Lincoln County Motors, and later for Phil Beck Motors.

Mr. TEAGUE was an unusually likable person. He never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life.

All his family and his wide scope of friends have all enjoyed many good times with Mr.TEAGUE, and now will hold many pleasant memories of this fine man who always seemed to make things better when he was around.

The Rev. Jim Currie, pastor of the Auburn Presbyterian Church, conducted funeral services for Mr. TEAGUE at 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy.

Interment was in Troy City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Robert DELOREZ, Jim DELOREZ, Edgar LANVERMEIER, Gene WOEGER, Jewell RANEY, and Bill HAINES.
