Mrs. Amelia STEPANEK, former Troy resident, passed away in the Villa Capri, Maryland Heights, Mo., Monday morning, March 12, 1984, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. STEPANEK will be held at 10 o’clock Friday morning, March 16, 1984 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hawk Point, Mo., with the pastor the Rev. Anthony Scholten in charge.

Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hawk Point.

Mrs. STEPANEK was born at Perryville, Mo., December 30, 1897 the daughter of August and Amelia PAOST KIEFER. She was married to Henry Harrison STEPANEK, and he preceded her in death in 1957.

Surviving Mrs. STEPANEK are her nine children: Mrs. Art (Ruth) SWAFFORD of Overland, Mo., Elmer STEPANEK and his wife, Virginia of Escondido, California, Mrs. Victor (Virginia) HARRELL of Moscow Mills, Leroy STEPANEK and his wife, Shirley of Florissant, Mo., Earl STEPANEK and his wife, Annette of Bridgeton, Mo., Homer STEPANEK and his wife, Mary Lou of Gainesville, Mo., Oscar STEPANEK and his wife, Jenny of Florissant, Mo., Mrs. Katherine POWELL of Coeur D’Lene, Idaho, Mrs. Don (Melva) ROMBACH of Canton, Ill.; 24 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Emanuel THOMURE of Farmington, Mo., other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be at the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy from 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, with the Rosary at the funeral home at 7:30 Thursday evening. Memorials may be made to the Cardinal Glennon Hospital.
