Obituary for Susie Louise Spielhagen  (1895-1973)

            Susie Louise SPIELHAGEN, nee BUENEMAN, daughter of Wm. And Amilia DUEBBERT BUENEMAN, was born March 31, 1895, near Troy, Mo., and passed away at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital April 16, 1973, having attained the age of 78 years and 16 days.

            She was baptized and confirmed with the Evangelical Church of Moscow Mills where she remained a faithful member during her lifetime.

            On October 30, 1912, she was united in marriage with Wm. SPIELHAGEN.   To this union two sons and one daughter were born.

            She is survived by one son, Fred and wife, Laura; one daughter, Edith and husband, Leroy KARRENBROCK; two granddaughters, Kathy and Karla KARRENBROCK; one brother, Nat BUENEMAN, also five sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nat BUENEMAN, Mrs. Robert BUENEMAN, Mrs. Tom BUENEMAN, all of Troy, Mrs. Tom BROWNING, of St. Charles, and Mrs. Ben WALTERMAN, of Arnold, Mo.; a number of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

            Preceding Mrs. SPIELHAGEN in death were her husband, who passed away in September 1958, and one son, Charles Wm., who passed away in infancy.

            Others who preceded her in death besides her parents were four sisters, Adaline and Emily BUENEMAN, who died in infancy, Mrs. Ellen BECK, Mrs. Ida EVERSMEYER, and three brothers, James, Robert and Thomas BUENEMAN.

            Funeral services were conducted from the Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, April 18, by the Rev. Lawrence H. Noonan, pastor of the Faith United Church of Christ, Wentzville, Mo.  Mrs. Wencker Meyer was the organist.  Interment was in the Anderson Hill Cemetery at Moscow Mills.  Casket bearers were Ernie BUENEMAN, Walter BUENEMAN, Marvin BUENEMAN, William BUENEMAN, Harold BERGESCH and Marion BERGESCH.

            Arrangements were through the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home of Troy.
