Services for Joseph "Joe" SPATAFORA, of Kingdom City, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Rev. Fred Branco and Ed Love officiated. Interment was in the Richland Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. SPATAFORA, 59, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center.

He was born June 7, 1940, in St. Louis, to the late John SPATAFORA and Stella GRAHAM SPATAFORA. He married Dianna McCULLOCH on Dec. 27, 1958.

Survivors include his wife, Dianna; his mother, Stella; three children, Joe SPATAFORA Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Kingdom City, Sandy SPATAFORA, Houston, Texas and Karen SMITH and her husband, Merlin, of Kingdom City; three grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncle, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, an infant brother and an infant grandchild.

Mr. SPATAFORA owned and operated a John Deere farm equipment dealership in Troy and also farmed in Lincoln County. In 1973, he and his family moved to Callaway County where he continued farming. In 1984, he began selling insurance specializing in crop and hail damage. He was an avid deer hunter.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Richland Baptist Church.
