Obituary for Harrison E. Snead

Harrison E. Snead died at 10 o'clock Thursday, March 8, 1906 at the home of his son, Ben SNEAD, and was laid away to rest in Highland Prairie Union cemetery at one o'clock Saturday, March 10. Funeral services were conducted by Elder O.J. GARY.

Mr. Snead was born April 27, 1835 in Warren County, and moved to Lincoln County in childhood. In 1856 he was married to Miranda French to which union were born two children: B. T. SNEAD and Mrs. E. J. MITCHELL. In Feb., 1865 he moved to Illinois and in February, 1866, moved back to Missouri and purchased the farm upon which he lived the remainder of his life. His wife died July 25, 1897.

The deceased was a person of congenial disposition and will be greatly missed by his family, especially his son. The father and son were like two brothers, almost inseparable companions, and to the surviving son, and bereaved, is extended the heart felt sympathy of the community.
