OBITUARY

Lulu May SKINNER, daughter of John M. and Betty Ann HOUSE, was born April 25,1877, near Winfield, Mo. She departed this life, April 5,1947, at 9:45 a.m. in Troy, Mo. at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 10 days.

In October,1895 at the age of 18 years she united with the New Salem Baptist Church, where she remained true to her faith until her death.......

On November 1, 1899, she was united in marriage to Bluford SKINNER, who preceeded her in death about one year, February 12, 1946. To this union seven children were born, two of which died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her departure: two sons, Joe of Gallup, New Mexico, and Howard, of Marquette, Mich.; three daughters, Florence, of Troy, Sylvia, of St. Louis, and Iva, now Mrs. Charles E. GROSHONG, of Jonesburg; two daughters-in-law, Frances SKINNER and Margaret SKINNER; one son-in-law, Charles E.GROSHONG; two granddaughters, Patricia Lee and Bonnie Jean SKINNER; five sisters, Mrs. Ella SUCELICK, Mrs.Elizabeth WATTS, Mrs. Katie HELMICH, Mrs. Collie JUSTUS, Mrs Susie WELLS; and two brothers, Joe and Johnnie HOUSE; 16 nieces and nephews, besides many relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs SKINNER lived on a farm near Winfield, for nearly 44 years. In Sept. 1944, because of poor health they were compelled to move to Troy to make their home wth their daughter. ....skipping much with no data.......... Funeral services were conducted from the Winfield Baptist Chhurch, Monday, Apil 7, at 2:00 p.m. the Rev. J. K. East officiating, assisted by Rev. L. E. Joseph. Burial was in the Argent Cemetery.
