Obituary for Opal Jeans Schulte  (1905-2003)

            Funeral services for Opal SCHULTE of Troy, Mo., were held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 20, at the McCoy & Blossom Chapel in Troy.  The Rev. Richard Rhea officiated.  Mrs. Dee Shaull was the pianist.

            Serving as pall bearers were Scott BOYD, Justin BOYD, Ben CREECH, George GILES, Robert SCHULTE and Steve CREECH.  Honorary pall bearers were Captain Kevin JACKSON, Kenny BARLEY and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class.  Interment followed in the Troy City Cemetery.

            Opal SCHULTE, 97, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy.

            Mrs. SCHULTE was born Nov. 30, 1905, in Southern Lincoln County.  She attended grade school at Sugar Grove School and also attended Buchanan High School where she was a graduate of the Class of 1925.

            Opal married Alvin SCHULTE on May 30, 1925.  He preceded her in death.  They had one daughter.

            Also preceding her in death were her father and mother, Rolla and Willie JEANS and one brother, Hardin JEANS.

            Among the survivors are her daughter, Anna Elizabeth and son-in-law, Leon CREECH of Troy; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
