Obituary for William Randolph Russell (1859-1921)

William Randolph Russell

The death of William Randolph RUSSELL, who resided in Troy a number of years ago, occurred at the home of Mr. McCloud, near Foristell on 13 January 1921. He died as a result of a paralytic stroke, which he suffered on day previous. Mr. RUSSELL was born in St. Charles Co, 13 September 1859, and moved with his parents to Lincoln County, Missouri in 1876.

He was married to Miss Lillie COTTLE 14 March 1883. Nine children born to them; five of whom survive.

Mrs. RUSSELL died 1899 and later, Mr. RUSSELL married Mrs. Emma GORDON; to this union were born two children.

The body was brought to Troy for interment Sunday afternoon. The services being conducted by Rev. J. Simon C. Hivner. All of Mr. Russell’s children were present; they are: Mrs. Hallie Harbrict, of Kings, IL; Frederick Russell of Rochelle, IL; Miss Mina Russell of St. Louis, MO; Mrs. Jessie Hutt, Troy, MO; Warren Russell of Osborne, KS; Richard Russell of San Fordice, TX; and Mrs. R. J. Wilson of Kansas City, MO.
