Obituary for William P. Ramsour (1910-1977)

            William Parker RAMSOUR was born at Wright City, Mo. April 7, 1910, the son of Clarence Fountain and Ardella May PUCKETT RAMSOUR.

            He passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital early Monday morning, June 6, 1977, following a lengthy illness.  He was 67 years 1 month and 29 days of age.

            On April 25, 1936 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Margaret SCHIEFFER. They became parents of two daughters and one son.

            Preceding Mr. RAMSOUR in death were his parents; a grandson, Richard TIPPIT; three brothers, Clarence Jackson RAMSOURM, Rutherford RAMSOUR and Leroy RAMSOUR; and one sister, Beatrice RAMSOUR.

            He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret with whom he shared 41 years of happy married life; one son, Carl RAMSOUR and his wife, Judith of Centralia, Ill.; two daughters, Annette RAMSOUR of Seattle, Washington and Norma and her husband, William PIPKIN of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, Cheri MEISTER, Derrick Donald MEISTER, Carl Dane RAMSOUR, Todd William RAMSOUR, Michael PIPKIN, David Allen RAMSOUR, Billie Jean PIPKIN, Deanna RAMSOUR, Danny Lee RAMSOUR, Darrell Ray RAMSOUR, Clinton Parker PIPKIN and Dawn Reene’ RAMSOUR; his stepmother, Mrs. Goldie RAMSOUR of St. Charles; one brother, Orin RAMSOUR; one sister, Mrs. Juanita KORINEK and her husband, Willard, all of St. Charles.

            His wife’s brothers and sisters and their husbands and wives; Mrs. Mary TWELLMAN of Moscow Mills, Rose and Charles THORNHILL of Troy, Ella and Oscar MUENSTERMAN of Troy, John and Ida Bell SCHIEFFER of Hawk Point, Charles and Georgia SCHIEFFER OF St. Louis, Joe Henry and Ruth SCHIEFFER of Troy, Alma and James HARRELL of Troy, Eleanor and Vernett SHAFER of Moscow Mills, Theresa and Headley HARRELL of Troy, Herman SCHIEFFER of Troy, Albert and Betty SCHIEFFER of Moscow Mills and Walter SCHIEFFER of St. Charles; a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

            The Rev. James Flanagan, pastor of the Moscow Mills Christian Church, conducted funeral services for Mr. RAMSOUR  at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 1977, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral  Home in Troy.  Lester Schloemann was the soloist and Mrs. D.L. Goins was the organist.

            Burial was in the Old Alexandria Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Erwin FRANKUM, J.C. MOMPHARD, Harry HOUSE, Joe LONG, Clem DETMER and Charles PARRISH.  The honorary pall bearer was Marvin CREECH.
