Obituary for Donna Meyer Rahmier (1954-2002)

            Mrs. Donna Renee RAHMIER, of Moscow Mills, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2002 at her residence after a lengthy illness.  She had attained the age of 47 years, five months and 27 days.   Donna was born on Oct. 22, 1954 in Richmond Heights to Donald and Elizabeth (BELLO) MEYER.

            Donna married Eugene RAHMIER at St. Paul UCC on Sept. 27, 1980.  She lived in Moscow Mills with Eugene and their three sons: Robert, Jacob, and Alexander.

            Eugene became the minister of Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills and Donna was most helpful to his ministry.  She was the youth advisor for the church group along with helping in every way she could.

            She is survived by her beloved husband, Eugene RAHMIER of Moscow Mills; her three sons: Robert, Jacob and Alexander RAHMIER, all of Moscow Mills; her mother, Elizabeth MEYER of Troy; two brothers: Doug MEYER and wife, Annette, of Troy and Duayne MEYER and wife, Beth, of Northfield, Ill.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Flora and Herbert RAHMIER of Moscow Mills; brother-in-law, Richard RAHMIER of Moscow Mills; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

            Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald MEYER and two infant sons: Justin and Nathan RAHMIER; and brother-in-law, Donald OSTHOFF.

            Visitation was held at the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home, Troy.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 23 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills.  Officiating were the Revs. James Konrad and Devin Jones.

            Serving as pallbearers were all nephews and nieces: Derick OSTHOFF, Nicholas MEYER, Ben MEYER, Katy MEYER, Sarah MEYER and Anna MEYER.  Honorary pallbearers were Sammuel MEYER and Kelly ZERRER.

            Interment followed in the St. Paul U.C.C Cemetery in Old Monroe.

            Memorials may be made to the Rahmier Children’s Fund.
