The subject of this sketch was born in Bullett Co., Ky., May 7,1847.
Three years later his parents came to Lincoln Co. Mo. settling in
the
eastern part of Lincoln Co. Mr. Price lived in this one community for
more than 60 year.
He married to Miss Martha Luck August 25,1880. They became the parents
of two children, one dying in early childhood. a daughter, Mrs.Charles
( Valentine ) Mozier lives in St. Louis, Mo. His wife died May 6,1884.
He was again married to Miss Alice E. Elston Sept. 17,1890. One
daughter was born to this marriage.
At age 21 Bro. Price professed his conversion and united with the New
Salem Baptist Church....
His health began to fail a few months ago and on Dec. 7 ...he passed
away.
Funeral services held New Salem Baptist Church Fri. afternoon, burial
in the church cemetery.
[Submitter's notes: Note 1. a daughter Miss Rosetta Price is listed. I
assume she is the
child by the 2nd wife. I have heard of a Miss Rosetta Price . If this
is
the same one she remained single and hasn't been deceased too many
years.
