Obituary for Jesse Pollman (1892-1976)

            Jesse POLLMAN, life long resident of Lincoln County, passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital Friday evening, May 7, 1976.  He was 83 years of age.

            Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 o’clock from the Friedens United Church of Christ, Moscow Mills, by the pastor, the Rev. Dwight Borden.  Mrs. Wencker Meyer was the organist and Lester Schloemann was the soloist.  A family service was held at the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy at 11 a.m.

            Burial  was in the Zoar Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Ernie BUENEMAN, George ADELHARDT, Dennis MORSE, Howard SIEVERT, Ora BUENEMAN, and Marvin BUENEMAN.

            Mr. POLLMAN was born in Lincoln County, Mo., June 15, 1892, the son of Louis and Kate SCHLINGMAN POLLMAN.  He was married to the former Miss Anna SCHROEDER in 1921.  They became the parents of two daughters.

            Mr. POLLMAN is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Annline BUENEMAN, two grandchildren, David and Debbie BUENEMAN, all of Troy, one niece, Mrs. Ruth STOCK of Troy, Ill., two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Minnie POLLMAN and Mrs. Ester POLLMAN, and one brother-in-law, Dr. John SCHROEDER, and other relatives and many friends.

            One daughter, Irene Julia, died in infancy.  Others who preceded him in death were: his son-in-law, William BUENEMAN, and four brothers and one sister: Edwin, Albert, Louis, and Wesley POLLMAN and Marie DRUESSEL.

            Mr. POLLMAN was a member of the Friedens United Church of Christ of Moscow Mills.  He served in World War I and was a member of the American Legion for many years.  He farmed most of his life.  He also worked for the Mears Wood Heel Factory and retired from that company.
