Mrs. Ruby Jewell PIKEY, of Troy, passed away in the Ellis Fischel Hospital in Columbia, Mo., Friday afternoon, February 4, 1977. She was 48 years of age.

Funeral services for Mrs. PIKEY were conducted at 9 o’clock Monday morning, February 7, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy, by the Rev. L.R. SMITH, pastor of the Troy Church of Christ.

Burial was in the Mounds Cemetery, at Lilbourn, Missouri.

Mrs. PIKEY was born at Grannis, Arkansas, the daughter of Albert and Gladys BLEVINS DAVENPORT. She spent many years of her early life in the home of Dwayne and Bernon RAGSDALE HAMLIN who were as a second pair of parents to her.

On March 21, 1944, she was married to Ruben PIKEY. They became the parents of 8 children. One son died in infancy. Her husband Ruben PIKEY, passed away this past April. Her father and foster father also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four daughters; Martha Jean ROCHE of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Evelyn Ann HUNN of Foristell, Mo., Sandra Sue BERGFELD of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Wendy Denise PIKEY of Troy; three sons: Ruben Franklin PIKEY Jr.of Whitewater, Mo., Stephen Craig PIKEY and Richard Allen PIKEY, both of Troy; five sisters; Dorothy Mae COOK of Pampa, Texas, Margaret COOK of Guadalupe, Calif., Gay Nelle FLEMING of Miami, Oklahoma, Betty Sue GARRARD of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Freda SANDERS of Ada, Oklahoma; five brothers, Leroy Clark THACKER of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Eddie Ray THACKER of West Germany, Bill DAVENPORT of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Don DAVENPORT of Dallas, Texas and Jimmie DAVENPORT of Galaway, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. PIKEY was of the Baptist faith.
