Services for Frank Earl NEESE of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Troy, were held Jan. 13 from the Troy Chapel, Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil COE, pastor of the First Christian Church of Troy, officiated with interment in the Troy City Cemetery.

Mr. NEESE died Jan. 8, 1989, in the Desert Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was born March 19, 1895, at Glasgow, Ill., the son of Henry Harrison and Ottie Louisa STERNES NEESE. He was married to Edith Louise STERNES in February of 1918 in a ceremony at Quincy, Ill. Mrs. NEESE died in 1971.

Surviving Mr. NEESE are his daughter, Erma; son-in-law, Kenneth BRINKMAN of Phoenix, Ariz, three grandchildren, Robert BRINKMAN, Frank BRINKMAN, and Mrs. Joe (Theresa) CREECH; other relatives and many friends.

From 1911 until 1945, Mr. NEESE was an employee of the Burlington Railroad (CB&Q). For a short period of time he also worked for the Short Line of Troy.

He lived in Lincoln County for a number of years before moving to Phoenix with his son-in-law and daughter in 1981.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund or charity of donor’s choice.
