Obituary for Forest Myers Jr (1930-1996)

Funeral services for Forest MYERS Jr., of Montgomery City, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 1996, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Rev. Jim Williams officiated. Interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Gary MYERS, Ricky MYERS, David MYERS, Larry MYERS, Steve GATES, Fred MYERS Jr., Willie BRICKER Jr. and Jim BUTLER.

Mr. MYERS, 66, died Aug. 8, 1996, at the St. Louis University Health and Science Center.

He was born at Moscow Mills on July 31, 1930, the son of Forest and Dorothea BEHRENS MYERS. On July 2, 1949, he married Marjorie CRUMES.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; one son, Steve and wife, Elizabeth, of Montgomery City; two brothers, Fred MYERS and wife, Charlotte, of O’Fallon and Bill MYERS of St. Charles; one sister, Florence GATES of Florissant; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Isabelle MYERS and Roxie TEASLEY of Troy; one brother-in-law, Willie BRICKER and his wife, Marie, of Troy and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles MYERS; two sisters, Ruth BUTLER and Lucille MYERS; one grandson, Chase MYERS; one sister-in-law, Reggie MYERS; three brothers-in-law, Ray GATES, Charles BUTLER and Jake TEASLEY.
