-----------------------Mrs. Susan J. MORTON ----- at her daughters and son-in-law ----Mr. TURPIN, in Paynesville, Mo. October 25, 1895. at--of congestion of the lungs. She was born in Kentucky----1840 and emigrated with---Lewis County, Mo. when -- five years old. Was married ---- --when qu---- ---that union there were born...Her husband died eleven y----July.

She leaves surviving ---children and nine grandchildren. Sister MORTON became a member Baptist church nearly forty ye---- parents were pioneer members of currant reformation Christian church. About ten years ago she united with the Christian church at Paynesville, Mo.

She had been an invalid for a number of years, suffering from the effects of ---At the time of her death she was visiting her children at Paynesville, her --- having constantly been with her Robert L. for many years.-------------------------------------------------

Sister Morton 's funeral was conducted at the Christian church at Elsberry Sunday at 2 o'clock p.m. by the writer of this notice,assisted by Elder Martin---that place, in the presence of a large rowing [sic] audience, and after the service --remains of the sleeping mother were --- to the Elsberry cemetery and there laid to rest until the Master-- the body home.............
