Mrs. Mabel Miller, 89

 

Mrs. Mabel Clara Miller, 89, of Silex died

January 6, 1981 in Rosedale Nursing Home,

Silex where she had resided for some time. 

Mrs. Miller had been ill for several years.

 

Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at

St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev.

John Klocker officiating.  Mrs. Miller was

buried in Millwood Cemetery.

 

She was born Oct. 30, 1891 at Troy, the

daughter of  John C. and Clara Caler Myers. 

She was married Sept. 15, 1917 to Bernard

Miller who survives.  Mrs. Miller was a

member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church

and was a registered nurse, graduating from

St. Johns Hospital School of Nursing in 1916.

 

Surviving with her husband are four sons,

Jerry, John, Joe and Justin Miller, all of Silex;

three daughters, Mrs. Elaine Gibbs, Florissant,

Mrs. Clara May Wierschem and Mrs. Bonnie

Brinker, St. Charles; 35 grandchildren and 32

great-grandchildren; one brother, Charley Myers

of Boise, ID.  She was preceded in death by

two daughters, Mabel and Helen.

 

Grandsons acted as pallbearers.
