Obituary for Dwaine Miller (1948-1973)

Funeral services for Sgt. Dwaine Eugene Miller, 24 of

Marietta, Ga., formerly of New Hartford, was held Sunday

at the New Hartford Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne

Dismuke and the Rev. Ray Long officiating.  Burial was

in the New Hartford Cemetery.

Sgt. Miller died Wednesday at Dobbins Air Force Base,

Marietta, Ga., as a result of injuries suffered in a helicopter crash.

He was born Dec. 9, 1948, in Louisiana, the son of

Ben D. and Donie Parsons Miller.  He was married to

Carol Dreema Gibbons, who survives.

Sgt. Miller attended the New Harrtford and Bowling

Green schools.  He also attended the University of Missouri

before enlisting in the Air Force.

Other survivors include his parents; one son, Gregory

Miller of Alworth, Ga., one sister, Diana Miller, New

Hartford; his grandfather, Ernest Parsons, New Hartford.

Sgt. Miller was the nephew of Edward Miller of Silex.

Note:  There are at least two errors in this
