A memorial service for Carolyn Lucille MEYER, a retired teacher in the Clayton School District, will be at 7 p.m. today at Eagle Fork Farms in Moscow Mills. Burial will be private.

Miss MEYER, 90, of Troy, Mo., died last Thursday (June 20, 1996) at Elderhaus Inn, a residential-care center in Troy, after a brief illness. She had lived in St. Louis for many years.

She taught sixth grade for 33 years at Maryland Elementary School in Clayton before she retired in 1976. She began her career in the mid-1930’s as an elementary teacher in the Lincoln County School District.

Miss MEYER was born in Moscow Mills. She attended Lindenwood College and graduated from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Among survivors is a nephew, Charles W. MEYER of Moscow Mills.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery Chapel Fund, the American Farmland Trust or Grinnell College. Memorials can be made in care of Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home, Box 222, Troy, Mo. 63379.
