A Tribute of Love

To The Memory of Mrs. Lue Hutt McFARLAND

Recently the sad news reached me of the death of a well-loved friend who was a daughter of Troy and I thought it not inappropriate to beg space in the columns of her old home paper for one word from memory's book of her life, as I knew it in childhood and girlhood.
Lue Hutt McFARLAND , the daughter of Thomas G. and Elizabeth HUTT, was born in Troy, Mo., in Oct. 1852; was married to Wm. McFARLAND in the autumn of 1873, and died at her home in the spring of 1901, in Cleburne, Tx.
In June 1871, she was one of four girls to graduate from the "Troy Christian Insitute."
