Charles Henry McCLAY Winfield March 8, 1915 - Oct. 9, 2005

WINFIELD - Charles Henry McCLAY, 90, of Winfield, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehabilitation in Troy. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. The Rev. Richard Turnbull will officiate. Burial will be at New Salem Baptist Cemetery near Winfield.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 11, at the funeral home.

Mr. McCLAY was born March 8, 1915, in Winfield to Walter Graham and Florence Grace CANNON McCLAY.

He was married to Beulah Frances Tayon KELLY on Dec. 22, 1979. She survives.

Other survivors include one brother, Walter David McCLAY of Troy; two sisters, Edna YOUNG of St. Louis and Lucy JACKSON of St. Charles; two stepdaughters, Linda BOETTCHER of Foley and Barbara WILDER of Winfield; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and an infant brother.
