--------in this city -------of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. MARTIN .......Up to Wednesday --- preceding her departure---attended school, apparently ---mingling in happy sports --- schoolmates. That night ---taken with a severe --morning her condition was alarming. During the day -----concious, never fully reviving-- ----, the pure spirit of MARY LEIGH burst from its earthly confines and ascended to God and the angels.--------------

Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday evening at 3:30, Elder W. J. Patrick officiating, when the remains followed by a very large concourse of sympathizing friends, together with the schoolmates of deceased, were laid to rest in Troy cemetery. The following young men of Troy were the pall bearers: W. T. BAKER, Walt PERKINS, Will R. YOUNG, W. A. JACKSON, Geo. S. TOWNSEND and Frank M. HOWELL. The floral offerings at the grave were beautiful and numerous. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the family.
