Obituary for Margaret Ledbetter (1913-1982)

Margaret HINES LEDBETTER of Moscow Mills, Mo. was born in St. Charles, Mo. July 5, 1913, the daughter of J. T. and Lucinda Jane HINES.

She passed away at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital November 26, 1982 at the age of 69 years 4 months 21 days.

Mrs. LEDBETTER was married Nov. 1, 1941 in St. Charles to Aaron "Shorty" LEDBETTER. Four children were born to this union.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Billy Mae and brothers, Guy, Marvin and John Rufus HINES.

Surviving are her husband, Shorty; and daughters, Mary Lou WIEMAN of Moscow Mills, Lois TESTERMAN and Charlotte BENDER, both of St. Charles; one son-in-law, Alvin "Bud" WIEMAN; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marcella McCOY and Elizabeth WILSON of St. Charles; sisters-in-law, Bernice HINES, Moscow Mills, Marceline HINES of St. Charles; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. LEDBETTER was a member of the VFW Post #8828 Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 28, from the McCoy-Paul Funeral Home in Troy, the Rev. Lester Zacher officiating. The organist was Mrs. Marguerite Schemmer. The pallbearers were Robert MYRICK, Tim BOOLOODIAN, Lovell SCOTT, David BRIEGEL, Jim STOCKMAN and Jim WILSON. Interment was in the Thornhill Cemetery.
