FUNERAL SERVICES

FOR HUBERT KIENTZY

 

Hubert George Kientzy of Silex passed

Away at 8:30 Sunday morning November l,

at the age of 79 years ten months and

one day in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital,

after twenty months illness of Parkinsons disease.

 

He was born near Apex, MO., January l, 1880, a

son of the late Seferin and Mary Oswein Kientzy. 

Mr. Kientzy spent his early life at Apex and

Macon, and attended Meyer School.

 

November 3, 1909 he was married to Elizabeth

Miller, at St. Alphonsus Church in Millwood. 

To this union three children were born, Eleanor

(Mrs. Joe Alloway) of St. Louis, Marcellus C. of

Leghorn, Italy, and Edwin G. of Silex

 

Mr. Kientzy engaged in farming at an early age and

continued as long as health would permit.  He was a

man of upright character and will be missed

from the community.

 

Mrs. Kientzy passed away at St. Johns Hospital in St.

Louis July 27, 1941.

 

November 7, 1942, he was married to Mary H. Miller

at St. Alphonsus Church in Millwood.

 

Survivors are his wife, his three children, one

son-in-law, eight grandsons, one of

whom (Robert Alloway) is married.  Four

brothers, August of Wentzville, Martin and

George of Silex, and Eugene of Granite City, Ill.

 

Funeral services were conducted at 9:00 o’clock

Tuesday morning, November 3, at St. Alphonsus

Church, by Rev. Joseph J. Durney.  Interment was

In the church cemetery.  Pallbearers were his nephews

DeSales,  Benedict and Clarence Kientzy, Edward and

Joseph Miller and Herman Vogel.

 

The remains were in state at the J. O. Mudd Funeral

Home in Silex until the hour of service.

We extend sincere sympathy to his family.
