Funeral services for Laura Francis IRVIN, 62, of Troy, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Ricks Funeral Home, Elsberry, officiated by Rev. Richard Turnbull. Burial was in the Elsberry City Cemetery.

Mrs. IRVIN passed away February 1, 1981 at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy.

She was born April 15, 1918, at Elsberry to Emmet and Myrtle SPRINGER MAUPIN. She married Victor L. IRVIN on July 10, 1937, at Bowling Green. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1979.

Survivors include: six daughters, Mary WILHOIT, Vicki ROBBINS and Shirley ROBBINS, all of Louisiana and Ann WRIGHT, Carol GERDIMAN and Thelma WRIGHT, all of Troy; three sons, Orval IRVIN of St. Charles and Gary Lee IRVIN and Victor Lamont IRVIN Jr., both of Troy; three brothers, Leo MAUPIN of Galveston, Texas, Claudie MAUPIN of Sequin, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy COLBERT of Yuciapi, Calif., and Nettie LAMBERT of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. IRVIN was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Elsberry. She attended school in Elsberry.

Pallbearers were Raymond SHAFFER, Gene LILLEY, Kenneth BIRKHEAD, Clarence FERGUSON, Jimmy CANNON, and Dickie MAUPIN.
