The subject of this brief sketch, Oscar Lee HUTT, youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. R. B. HUTT was born on the farm near Troy, Missouri, Oct. 1, 1888. On March 4th 1902, at the age of 13 years, he confessed his faith in Christ and united with the Christian Church of Troy at a revival meeting conducted by evangelist J. N. CRUTCHER, during the pastorate of A. G. ASSITER.
Since that time he has proven himself to be a devout member of the congregaton in which he of recent years faithfully served as Deacon and the teacher of a class of boys in Sunday School------
---He showed his great devotion to his aged parents with whom he resided, giving them his loyal support until the time of death, which occurred from being hit on the head by a limb which rebounded while he was falling a tree near his home on March 5th 1925.
He lived to the age of 36 years, seven months and four days.
His funeral was conducted by the writer, in the home of his parents March 6, 1925, in the presence of a large gathering of friends after which his body was laid to rest in the Troy Cemetery. He leaves his father and mother, his older brother, Willie and his sister, Miss Mary with other relatives and friends to mourn his decease.--------------
