Vernette Thomas HUNN, age 70 of Troy, died at his home just south of Troy Thursday night, May 17, 1973.

The funeral Mass was recited from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy Monday morning, May 20, by the Rev. A.H. Hoorman, assisted by Fr. Kester. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Casket bearers were grandsons.

Mr. HUNN was born at Troy, Mo., November 10, 1902, the son of Richard and Susie METCALF HUNN. He was married to the former Miss Vera May GROCE, who survives.

Also surviving are eight sons and two daughters: Victor and Richard of St. Louis County, Leonard, Melvin and Francis of Troy, Norbert of Ava, Mo., Marvin of Orlando, Fla., and Glennon of Foristell, Mo., Mrs. John (Margaret) MEYER of Union, Mo., and Mrs. Donald (Regina) BUENEMAN of Moscow Mills; 40 grandchildren; one brother, Theodore HUNN of Troy; one sister, Mrs. John (Dorothy) SINGER of Overland, Mo.; Mrs. HUNN’s sisters, Miss Ethel GROCE, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe BRITTON, other relatives and many, many friends.

Mr. HUNN farmed most of his life, but later years had been employed by the heel factory in Troy and by the City of Troy.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, a member of the Holy Name Society and of St. Vincent DePaul.

Funeral arrangements were through the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home of Troy.
