MINNIE HOWDESHELL

Funeral services for Minnie Marie HOWDESHELL of Winfield were held April 12, from the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home,Winfield. Rev. George Hoech officiated and burial was in the Highland Prairie Cemetery, Ethlyn. Mrs. HOWDESHELL, 78, passed away April 10, 1986 in St. Joseph Health Care Center, St. Charles.

She was born July 2, 1907 in Machens, the daughter of James A. and Mary C. PAINTER ELSTON. On March 27, 1926, she was married in Elsberry to James Sidney HOWDESHELL, who preceeded her in death Oct. 1, 1960. She was a lifelong resident of Winfield area and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Winfield and the Royal Neighbors. Survivors include a son, James B. HOWDESHELL of LeRoy, Ks; a daughter, Mary ORTLEPP of St Charles, Mo., 6 granchildren and one great-grandchild and cousins.
