Funeral services for George HORNBEAK, Jr., of Moscow Mills, will be held at 2o’clock Friday, November 19, 1982 from the Wesley United Methodist Church, Troy. Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery. The church pastor, the Rev. Greg Maurer, will be in charge of the services.

Mr. HORNBEAK died early Tuesday morning, November 16, in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. HORNBEAK was born in Centerville, Tennessee August 18, 1904, the son of George HORNBEAK, Sr., and Ann WARD HORNBEAK. He was married February 20, 1947 to Miss Nora WASHINGTON, and she survives. He is also survived by one son, George William HORNBEAK of Rock Island, Ill.; four sisters: Gladys WILLIAMS of St. Louis, Mrs. Emma DUNAWAY of Chicago, Miss Joy HORNBEAK of Maple Heights, Ohio and Mrs. Charlene SETTLER of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. HORNBEAK owned and operated a lumber company in St. Louis for many years before moving to Lincoln County where he farmed.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Troy.

Visitation will be at the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy from 3 o’clock Thursday until time of the services.
