Funeral services for Cliston Leon HILTON, former Sheriff of Lincoln County, will be held at 10 a.m. November 20 from the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, Winfield. Interment will be in the Star Hope Cemetery south of Elsberry.

Mr. HILTON, 70, passed away at 7 p.m. Monday, November 17 at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton where he had been a patient for several weeks.

Mr. HILTON served as a Deputy Sheriff 1969 through 1977 and again in 1981 through 1986. He was elected Sheriff in 1977 and served until 1981.

He was also a member of the New Salem A.F. & A.M. Lodge No.270, Winfield, the Scottish Rite Valley of St. Louis, and the Moolah Shrine Temple, St. Louis.

Cliston Leon HILTON was born July 27, 1916 in Mo-Ark, Arkansas to Leo and Willie Jane FOSTER HILTON. He was married November 3, 1945 in St. Louis to Carmen GRIGSBY who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mary SCHMITT, Foley; and Lou CANNON, Old Monroe; one brother, Carlos HILTON, Foley; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, Winfield, after 3 p.m. today (November 19). Masonic services led by Rt. Worshipful Bro. Dennis Hammack will be held tonight (Nov.19) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
