Obituary for Emma Hardy Helmich (d1907)
Troy Free Press, Troy, Lincoln County, MO.
From the clippings of R. Novak

Mrs.Emma HELMICH departed this life, June 8, 1907, at the age of 20 years, 11 months and 24 days. Mrs. HELMICH leaves a husband, Ed HELMICH, two little children, a mother, Mrs. HARDING (sp.HARDY), seven sisters and three brothers, besides a number of relatives and a host of friends to mourn her untimely death. Mrs. HELMICH united with the Christian church at Galilee at the age of 13 and was baptized by Rev. Hobbs. Her remains were followed by a large congregation of relatives and friends to the Bray burying ground Sunday afternoon, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C. B. Tucker, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest to await the resurrection morning. Mrs. HELMICH lived a meek, humble Christian life and while her death was a shock to us who knew and loved her, still, we believe she is better off in Heaven than it is possible for us to be in this world. And while she can not come to us, it is possible for us to go to her in the home of the redeemed. To this end let us pray, to this end let us live – A Neighbor.
