ALONZO HAMMETT

Funeral services for Alonzo William HAMMETT, 76, of Hawk Point were held Aug. 25 at the McCoy & Blossom Chapel, Troy. Officiating was the Rev. Mark S. Cline. Interment was in Sulphur Lick Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Mr. HAMMETT died Aug. 22, 1988 at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 9, 1912, in Silex, a son of Joseph Olonzo and Bertha Elizabeth IVES HAMMETT.

Surviving are: his wife, Janie Frances WALTON of the home; one daughter, Lonnie WELLS and husband, Charles of Troy; one son, Richard Kenneth HAMMETT and wife, Rose, of Hawk Point; four brothers, Ralph HAMMETT of San Leandro, Calif., Merritt HAMMETT and wife, Darlene of Troy, Beverly HAMMETT and wife Lucille of Madras, Ore.; and Melvin HAMMETT of Amoret; one sister, Velma COLBERT of Oregon City, Ore.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one aunt Mary Edith COLLINS, Hawk Point; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. HAMMETT was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Lick Cemetery Fund.

The Hammett Family was served by the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home of Troy.
