Obituary for Kee Hamilton Groshong (1909-1984)

Kee Hamilton GROSHONG, lifelong resident of Lincoln County, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, March 26, 1984 in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon, Wednesday, March 28, 1984 from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy. The Rev. Ken Finley was the minister in charge. Interment was in the Troy City Cemetery.

Mr. GROSHONG was 78 years of age. He was born January 17, 1909 at Troy, Mo., the son of Gilbert and Maggie CLARK GROSHONG. He was married to Wibbie WILSON April 9, 1926, and she survives. He is also survived by one son Kee Wilson GROSHONG of Columbia, Mo., two grandchildren, his daughter-in-law, three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Mae BROWN of Hawk Point, Mrs. Edwin (Eleanor) WIEMAN and Mrs. Woodrow (Ethel) SHEETS, both of Troy, three nephews, seven nieces, several cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. GROSHONG was a member of the First Christian Church of Troy. He was a construction contractor all his working years, and was a member of Local No. 513. He was also a member of the Troy Lodge Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
