Long time area resident Ernest GROSHONG of Sequim died in Port Angeles at age 76. He was born in St. Charles, Mo., to Ernest R. and Amanda (SCHNARR) GROSHONG. He married Elizabeth LUKEY in Old Monroe, Mo., on September 5, 1948. Mr. GROSHONG came to the Peninsula in 1969 and retired as a rigger from ITT Rayonier. Mr. GROSHONG enjoyed wildlife, especially feeding his eight pet deer and bevies of quail. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing. smelting, clamming and crabbing. Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Lee Ann GROSHONG of Donald, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law Connie and Ron BULLOCK of Shelton; daughter Mary LAMBERT of Alberta; sisters JoAnn MILKS of Albuquerque, N.M., and Carol BALDWIN of St. Charles, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services: Private services at a later date. Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, Port Angeles, is in charge or arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of Clallam County, P.O. Box 2014, Port Angeles, WA 98362; or charity of choice.
