A funeral mass for Oscar Marcus GERINGER was held Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Troy. Father James Flynn officiated and burial was in the Old Alexandria Cemetery.

Mr. GERINGER, 80, passed away Jan. 1, 1984 at his son’s residence in Kirkwood. He was born Dec. 29, 1903 in Perryville, the son of Joseph and Josephine ERNST GERINGER. He was married to Georgia G. BRISCOE GERINGER who preceded him in death June 9, 1975. A resident of the Old Alexandria community, Mr. GERINGER was a retired electrician and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, James and his wife, Dean GERINGER of Kirkwood; two sisters, Lillian ARNZEN of St. Louis County and Clara SCHARLOTT of St. Louis; three brothers, Hugo G. of East St. Louis, IL., Joseph of Perryville and Edwin of St. Louis County; three grandsons, James, Marcus and Steven GERINGER of Kirkwood, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
