Obituary for Frank Gaedike (1906-1982)

Frank Julius GAEDIKE was born near Moscow Mills, January 24, 1906 and departed this life November 4, 1982, at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, having attained the age of 76 years 9 months and 11 days. He was the son of Fritz GAEDIKE and Sophia, nee RAHMEIER, GAEDIKE.

Frank spent his entire life farming the family farm near Moscow Mills, except for the last several months when he could no longer care for himself.

Frank was baptized in infancy and later confirmed in August of 1921. He became a member of Friedens Evangelical Church, now Friedens United Church of Christ, and stayed faithful and loyal until his death.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Fritz and Sophia GAEDIKE; sisters, Lizzie GAEDIKE, Lena GAEDIKE and Mrs. Anna VOEPEL; brothers, William GAEDIKE, Fritz GAEDIKE, Charles GAEDIKE and Fred BRUGGEMAN.

Frank will be sadly missed by his sister, Mrs. Minnie McNEALY, one niece; eight nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 7, from the Friedens United Church of Christ, Moscow Mills, the Rev. Al Minor officiating assisted by Rev. Perry Brown. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mary Margaret Meyer was the organist and Mrs. Joyce Gillespie was the vocalist. The pallbearers were nephews- Roy McNEALY, Earl McNEALY, Ed McNEALY, Fred VOEPEL, Delbert GAEDIKE and Carlos GAEDIKE.

Arrangements were through the McCoy – Paul Funeral Home, Troy, Mo.
