OBITUARY for George W. FIELDER (1873-1941)

George W. FIELDER Dead
George W. FIELDER, of Winfield, the father of Mrs. Almon ARGENT and Mrs. Charles CRAIG of Troy, died February 3, at the age of 67 years, at his home in the above vicinity.
Mr. FIELDER, as a son of Isaac N. and Martha Jane FIELDER, was born June 15, 1873 in the Harmony Grove neighborhood, and lived there until 16 years ago.
He was married October 20, 1895 to Anna Senoria MILLER, who with five children survive. The children are five daughters, namely: Juanita, now Mrs. Wallace BARRETT of near Elsberry; Bonnie, Mrs. ARGENT, of Troy; Martha, Mrs. Bower ELMORE, of St. Charles; Kathleen, Mrs. Charles CRAIG of Troy; and Anna Ruth, at home. One son died at the age of four years.
Four sons-in-law, two granddaughters, Anna May BARRETT and Patsy Sue ELMORE, two brothers, Dick FIELDER of Davis; and Mack FIELDER, of Troy; and four sisters, Mrs. Ella CREECH of Wellsville; Mrs. Jerry DODSON, and Mrs. Lillie TAYLOR of near Snow Hill; and Mrs. Lou KNOX of Winfield, also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Asbury Chapel by Rev. M. A. GARRISON and Rev. J. C. SMITH and burial was in that cemetery.
